| No releases for the South in 2002, although Paul re released his solo album in the Summer, dropping his Biscuit Boy pseudonym and embarking on a short tour. Dave Hemingway also recorded a solo album, but apart from a radio appearance where 2 tracks were played, nothing else appeared. As 2002 drew to a close, the South fans faced their longest gap yet between studio albums, but with the new year rumours started seeping through of a new album, which were later confirmed by a variety of sources, not least Paul Heaton himself. The new album is due out in Autumn 2003, with a tour planned to accompany it. With regards to Dave Hemingway's solo work, one of his songs is due to appear on 'Acoustic Chill 2', released on 4th August 2003, perhaps indicating his album may finally be released. |
